dcmarti1
(Romans 11:32 For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on ALL. - emphasis mine) A Universalist Quinzane Doubt exists to be redeemed. Is that why we can But amend? Our doubt cannot be undone. Is that why we on God depend? Yet Paul says God is the source. Should those with ears, eyes This attend? Doubt from truth and truth from doubt. When can we ever Grace rescind?
David W. Parsley
Hi dc, An old dilemma cast in verse form in a refreshingly contemporary persona. I like the vernacular usage, though "Is that why we on / God depend" is an awkward reflexion, lending a sense of aritificiality with the forced syllable scansion. I can't help but wonder if a little working of the diciton might not make this read more naturally or imaginatively? For example, I came up with "God-dependence: can / it be else?" as an alternative way to express it. I am sure there are better ones. Thanks for asserting the continued relevance of such probings. I can't help but wonder if Grace is something we want to try rescinding... - Dave
