dansalinger
Their families awoke to start the day the kids off to school without much to say sitting in classrooms without any care unbridled innocence in pig tailed hair their miniature bodies and developing brains trained on Barbie dolls and choo choo trains in an instant and out of the blue evil incarnate comes blasting through shots rang out and blood was drawn so much innocence now was gone he killed twenty children and six adults its with the devil himself that he consults families destroyed a community in grief those who have lost will feel no relief words don’t exist to describe this event all we can do is reflect and lament the nation mourns and expresses its rage at the evil displayed on a national stage grab hold of your kin and give them a hug and if they ask why just give them a shrug
Tinker
Hi Dan, Welcome to PMO! I am sorry the events of Friday have prompted your first poem posted. I have to admit that the feelings of the day are still too raw for me and I couldn't finish reading your piece. I will come back to it in a few days for a better look. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
Larsen M. Callirhoe
thank you Dan for not patronizing the idiot by name. sad day in the lot of humanity. this mother should have never let her son have access to her weapons. stupid is stupid does. this guy had learning disabilities and his mother taught her son to love shooting. both are dead so we will never know much about the truth, but hearsay. good poem. victor Quote Larsen M.
