i was born free

i was born free to roam the world

i found my lover in my dreams

she was so beautiful to my heart

i sang to her a love song

why is it so hard

to not always be by your side

we dance together

drinking whiskey and wine

i hope these times never end

i cherish every moment i have with you

we dance to the love song

i wrote for you

i touch your cheek on your face

as the tears roll down your face

you tell me you are not ready to love

oh how you broke my heart

telling me you want to live in the world

all i wanna do is hold you tight

and dance with you in my arms

please baby give me a chance

and a reason to believe in us

god told me we belong together

i hope you have faith to believe

you see i was born to be free

and roam the world evermore with you

so please take my hand

and i will show you your dreams and the world.

Stunning!

While reading, I feel like I am watching a movie of love and deceive.

I always question myself why god is so miser to make our dreams come true with the one we love most!

I don’t know simply like you.

Thanks for your excellent expression.

by the way, is there any system to make a particular post as favorite?

Victor my friend. As always much enjoyed in your poem. Always in your poetry is present that nostalgic, that lovely poetical voice, romantic, as there is nothing what can hurt you. That is for respect, bc you know when you love - you love and that is for sure. You express all the time in your poems, All your angriness and pain you are transforming in love, in forgiveness, in good feelings.

And the title was wonderful and wise, deep also. I love it.

Bloodyday, as I understood you, we don't have that option in this system. We will check, for any case, but I don't think so. And yes that would be nice.

Hi Victor,

I don't know how I missed this beautiful poem! One gets a sense of the narrator's intense passion and belief and how these empower his world and his imagination. I love these lines:

Larsen M. Callirhoe wrote:

and roam the world evermore with you

so please take my hand

and i will show you your dreams and the world.

Passion and belief could well free one from all shadows of pain and suffering.

Wonderful to see you write!

The narrator's devotion is manifest. He expresses it with meaningful acts --

we dance to the love song

i wrote for you
.

-- specifically, love songs and verse.
