summayya
Direction Like the sweetness of the beloved, morning passed by; blushing the day. --For once ----------------life burst into a rose; all orders slavishly dropped at its feet. Now again night, glaringly, descends from the crisscross of a million stars ----------------------------------------and settles on our dreams. goldenlangur
Hi summayya, Such lush lyrical imageries flow beautifully to that magical final line: summayya wrote: ... Now again night, glaringly, descends from the crisscross of a million stars and settles on our dreams. Truly lovely! goldenlangur Quote goldenlangur Even a single enemy is too many and a thousand friends too few - Bhutanese saying.
Aleksandra
Very beautiful sound of poem Summ. This one is wonderful. I think this poem had some different writing way that I used to read by you. And no doubts - it's amazing, as goldenlangur said - lyrical imageries and I loved this poem Thank you for sharing Aleksandra Quote The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth - Jean Cocteau History of Macedonia

Tinker
Oooooo Summayya, This is yummy. "slavishly" yummy. Well I had to say something and who can beat "lyrical imagery" or "sexy"? Both of which are true. I think you should enter this in the contest thread at the Connection. You'd get a 10 from me. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
tonyv
This is a perfect poem, Summayya. Not too long, not too short -- it's simply an enchanting lyric that's definitely amongst your best. The sweetness of the beloved, though lovely, has a hint of sadness, for it is fleeting ... like the morning. Nevertheless, life burst into a rose. The poem never loses its verve. It keeps the reader in a trancelike state, and the crisscross of a million stars from which night descends administers a dose of euphoria. I wish I wrote this one. Bloodyday
In a word, life is beautiful. Perhaps, when I was confirmed about my first love (actually I scored a good result in secondary school exam, and specially in physics and maths, I fall in love into these), I thought this way!
