dr_con
A Poem about a Tree in Spring Sentence by sentence word by word carve out a new geography That is not a black bird resting and cawing amid stark leafless branches bountiful with entropy defying buds But when she takes flight in the cloud heavy morning landing in the neighbor’s fresh turned earth besides the bright yellow Witch Hazel seeking nutrition from the newly awakened riotous soil a line is etched And in that great Hollow where Suns and Gods and Landscapes are born live and die a Tree blooms The foliage gives weight to the color green and then reminded Death is beautiful embers snap a glimpse of what happened before beginning. badger11
Hi Dr C., A title to tell the reader what the poem is about, though if the writer can conjure a landscape, I presume a reader is free to do so too. cheers badge

Tinker
Hi DC, Great title! You have to read the poem after that intro. And it didn't disappoint. My favorite line The foliage gives weight to the color green. That is not just poetic it is so simple it is brilliant. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
dr_con
DC & Tinker- I'm glad you both found a line which appealed! Thanks for the read (I think spring is re-verbalizing my brain/soul) Juris Quote thegateless.org
Benjamin
As an avid "tree watcher" I liked everything about this from the title onward. There is a cerain therapy in quiet contemplation of how nature works its wonders. "a line is etched And in that great Hollow where Suns and Gods and Landscapes are born live and die a Tree blooms" excellent lines to herald the long awaited spring. B. David W. Parsley
Doc, this is just plain great poetry. Summons a stirring of the mind and spirit, chronicling a recurring event of the soul. All the individual lines cited above are indeed excellent, but it is the whole that brings them to such impact. Brilliant work. Thank You, - Dave
