Gatekeeper
And now into May how quickly you slipped away. April's poetry. Quote from the black desert
Lake
This is a keeper! I love the twist at the end. Is there a period at the end of line two and three or is my screen smeared that I could not tell. But I prefer no dots at the end that would enable the reader to have a double reading. Very much enjoyed. Lake

moonqueen
Very nice! But, May will bring poetry, as well.
Gatekeeper
Lake, Thanks for you comment. I hadn't intended the double reading, though I employ that trickery often. And, in this case, it does work better than I knew. The periods are not, to my knowledge, traditional in haiku or senryu, though the crisp break between the parallels is. I have been "experimenting" with them. I like them one day and another day I don't. ??? Juris & Moonqueen, Glad you enjoyed this bit.
