Poetry Magnum Opus

A Poetic Process

The poet’s pen can be a mighty

Yet subtle weapon of the mind

Paint like an Old Master’s brush

Punch with venom of a fighter

Go gentle as dew from a flower

Pause before the yawning void

Hover as did the bard-held quill

Put to page some poetic words

In passing age by stab of stylus

Progress to process its successor

Modes are refashioned for a time

Freely written or lines that chime

Poets will and ever still compose

Eras mores forms metamorphose

Wonderful. Poetic. You gave a face to poetry Frank, not only soul. I like it a lot.

Thanks for sharing.
