(Bends Like Grass)

My entire life I've been

Blessed/Cursed

My mother exclaimed

(when I was little)

‘You bend like Grass’

I’m a doorkeeper for an old dog

(during summer)

Outside/Inside

I have trouble with these tools

Faith/Belief

Going this way

and then that

Politics/Religion/Science

And everything chatters

Right/Wrong

And who are you with that certainty?

You believed in my potential

despotic in need

leaving a legacy

that is just so

I love it all

Sting & Honey

Reminded on the lake

while you swam

I saw us both

in your angles

Mother/Father

Unity and fluidity, I like the humour threaded in

I have trouble with these tools

Faith/Belief

Also that intrusive chatter...is familiar

Very very interesting; sensitive, aggressive ( a little!) but overall quite vulnerable.

Drown your sorrows in drink, by all means, but the real sorrows can swim

Doc Juris, thank you for this verbal gift. I will keep it in a safe place.

For all that I feel and seem the same, I have changed, though steadfast in my basic ideals. I too, am sentry for an older dog.

Doc, as usual with your work, I must read it many times prior to commenting. I have to say I love this one, I experience the vacillation in many things, but always come home to myself.

Much enjoyed.
