Riverine

This is a revived work from some years ago, one of my first attempts and one of only a few with any rhyming scheme:

Riverine

With nodding clouds in rolling cover

over Daughter of the Stars,

I wend my way along the flow

and drink the wonder of her.

With misty fingers on my brow

and dewy boughs bent near me,

I breathe the heady draft of life

and wonder that I'm here now.

Thank you, Doc. An elevated word from you is like a drop of honey without the bees.

"I breathe the heady draft of life
and wonder that I'm here now."

All in all a positive well formed piece that flows with an appreciation of being alive. G.
