douglas
The Season of the SnakeIt is the season of the living deadA time when the snake bites twiceAnd human flesh starts paying its priceThis is the time of the rancid deltaA time when the green frog burps outIts sticky venomAnd transforms itself into a black sorcererI find that my cheek doesn't fit into the tree trunkAnymore because it can see The ancient curse pouring out upon this earthNature has become angryShe has turned her noble headAgainst humanityIt is the season of the universal stained heartAnd this time it’s ripping quantum time apartStanding upon Idolatry’s shoresPoking fun at truth and severing the rootsSo that our world no longer seesA subtle separation has begunBlind men committing crimesThat cannot be undoneThis is the moment of the Bleeding EyeballThe ultimate fall of manAnd angels relinquish their powerAnd move in caravans across the bleakScarred desertToward the Bleeding SoulWhose secrets although so close Shall now remain untoldThis New Age is aging and losing its momentumGiving way to scorn and liesWhich flow out from rotten institutions Temples of the dead societyOf manThe transient path of carnal greedAnd vacuous solutions Quote To receive love, you have to give it... JoelJosol
This piece's internal rhyming caught my attention and made it enjoyable read. Quote "Words are not things, and yet they are not non-things either." - Ann Lauterbach
abstrect-christ
One might also call this "The Doom of Ouroboros." I liked it's use of allegory and symbolism as imagery. A very lovecraft or Black Sabbath level of doom like sense to this -- I know I got a more societal allegory out of it. I think this is the most doomy piece I've read from you, it's always a tantalizing read when doom's involved; keep the good quality doom coming. Quote Pinhead "Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends. There is a secret song at the center of the world, Joey, and its sound is like razors through flesh." Joey "I don't believe you." Pinhead "Oh come, you can hear its faint echo right now. I'm here to turn up the volume. To press the stinking face of humanity into the dark blood of its own secret heart." "There's a starving beast inside my chestplaying with me until he's boredThen, slowly burying his tusks in my fleshcrawling his way out he rips open old woundsWhen I reach for the knife placed on the bedside tableits blade reflects my determined faceto plant it in my chestand carve a hole so deep it snaps my veinsHollow me out, I want to feel empty"-- "Being Able To Feel Nothing" by Oathbreakerhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBPy3xNwwL8 "Sky turns to a deeper grey the sun fades by the moon hell's come from the distant hills tortures dreams of the doomed and they pray, yet they prey and they pray, still they prey"-- "Still They Prey" by Coughhttps://soundcloud.com/relapserecords/sets/cough-still-they-pray
