The Indirect Confession

There was a ghost
In the woods tonight

Watching me and my fallen desires
I could see the white legs of the figure
Illuminated
Glowing ominously through
The darkness that I had walked into
And I ran
Ran away in shame
And in fear
I must have felt
For a moment
That abhorrent emotion
Which pulsated through Eden
On that cursed night
I smashed the spider's web
Of dawn
That natural delicateness and innocence
Which only exists in the world
Of the spiritless
How wicked our souls can be
And how crude our hidden transgressions

This is not a glorification of evil
It is more like
A very indirect
Confession

To receive love, you have to give it...

Dark, but not malevolent. That spider's web must be a metaphor for sumthin'.....
