Lovely snapshot Frank. Conjures up visions of crew-cut cats in sunglasses and slinky twirling chicks for me; from a smoky time when you could hear all the notes blown live and weren't afraid to touch the sweat on each others neck. Jazz venues are now rare away from our big cities; and most 'live' pop- music venues are filled with impersonal, amplified backing tracks and computerised electronic 'this and that'. Thanks for the reminder !
