dedalus
In a moment, you know, you can lose everything, your life, your love, your liver. You don’t have to be Japanese. And so when I got home from the Philippines alive, unlike so many others,I was determined to make some money, to piss on the people who pissed on me and bring in the common soldiers. I tried and I tried but I couldn’t, and now I sit in a bar next to a gaijin guy called Brendan. a pleasant fool who nods and leads me on and knows not where he goes. dr_con
Pure witty fun. Like the self reference... but also noted a misspelling... tetermined and nd. Otherwise, a joyful self portrait, and in an odd way! Juris Quote thegateless.org

fdelano
Gaijin. Ah yes. Foreign devil. Pretty close to Gringo, but more culturally and isolationist evolved. You may be an international gaijin. Likely to get shot in Texas, sliced with a sword in Japan and forced into being a mule in Mejico. I do like very much the personal summation--brilliant. P.S. Still some punctuation misses. Overall, I muchly enjoyed. Petty Paco
Benjamin
Sounds like the 'peace' is also a war enjoyed the poem, in particular your skilful last verse that completes a circle.
David W. Parsley
Yeah, Bren, this one is definitely cool. I like the psychoanalytic plunge into surreality. Bomb-free fun with a bitter edge! - Dave
