douglas Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Missing you The morning church bells ringing across the city The low cold clouds Soft light And silver winter air The bells have stopped And now the birds are singing their songs Dancing from branch to branch together Oblivious and joyful I envy them As I exhale a languid plume of ghostly breath Quietly acquiescing to The prospect of yet another day Without you Quote To receive love, you have to give it...
David W. Parsley Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Hi Douglas, it could almost be taken for a mis-spelling, but I really like the originality of the birds "signing" their songs, accentuating their obliviousness to the narrator's helpless sense of abandonment. This subtle treatment would seem to render the line, "oblivious and joyful" to be unnecessary. Thank You, - Dave Quote
douglas Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 It is indeed a spelling error! Lol. Have fixed it. Thanks Dave. Quote To receive love, you have to give it...
