Benjamin
Some times I wonder why I'm not insane. Perhaps I am.... For everything I know turns inside out and upside down in this bloodjaded cage. And I find humour in predictability. The gibbous moon my pet familiar, reminds me of characteristics of a childhood; spent in aching loneliness and struggle to avoid bleakness of spirit, that unmitigated loneliness incites. The face in my mirror is back to front: I empathise with the inanimate.
dedalus
Excellent. Try 'bloodjaded' as one word. Cheers, Bren Quote Drown your sorrows in drink, by all means, but the real sorrows can swim
Benjamin
Thanks Bren. Had it hyphenated originally before I separated it. Geoff.
tonyv
I don't even know what bloodjaded means, but I think the speaker is referring to his earthly flesh, his "cage." As for humor in predicatability -- I'm like that, too, seriously. ... aching loneliness and struggle to avoid bleakness of spirit, that unmitigated loneliness incites ... How terribly vivid! Yet, that "legerdemain," the speaker's observation of the face in the mirror that's "back to front" has an eeriness, almost like having no reflection at all.
