Feel feel free,

but life will continue to be

with jolting stops and starts,

pounding at our hearts,

and in the end you’ll see

pleasure gets mixed with apathy

as the globe turns round and round,

as the sun rises up in the morning,

and every truth and belief we’ve found

dissolves with sudden dawning.

It's true that good poetry makes you think. The title sent me scurrying off to Google to read of the 1964 incident among other things. Your work is always interesting. G.
