the swooning director describes his film

Yesterday's smiles are forgotten

as attention focuses on today;

strange alien sounds coalesce in a way

not heard since Johnny Rotten.

The sky is dug into from below,
and raggéd cuts appear at its edges;

the sun explodes, sets fire to hedges

the circling winds begin to flow.

The hero thinks, I'll be late for tea

as he stands alone by his fearsome chariot;

he lingers awaiting his true love Harriet,

and the hero looks a lot like me!

Now rest your hands and still them,

just gaze on his features in repose;

what an elegant chin, such a handsome nose...

You MUST go and see the film!!

Drown your sorrows in drink, by all means, but the real sorrows can swim
