eclipse
On a beach my lover dreamt of a shell and I a pearl. I woke holding the moon between my palms-the ocean breeze held me in an embrace, my lovers enchanting face aged into beauty.

David W. Parsley
Barry, I like the brevity and ambiguity of this poem. Does the narrator project his love upon the moon, caught in a moment of memory when she is not present? Or is it a figurative description with the object of love in physical proximity, sharing the moment of poetic suspension? Haunting. - Dave
