douglas
I have not moved the music stand. It remains where he placed it;Put down in the position thatHe chose. Each time I look at it I am remindedOf our afternoon together. Seeing it comforts me,Because it was his visionThat caused it toCome to rest,Right there,In a corner of my bedroom. As a consequence, it seems to haveTaken on an aspect of his persona.Inadvertently, he has left a pieceOf his energy there for me to remember him by.And I don’t really care how casually he mayHave moved it.What’s important is what that gestureMeans to me.
