Recommended Posts

The Great War at Sea Poetry Project was established in 2014 to research and highlight war at sea poetry relating to World War 1 , written by combatants and non-combatants alike. Also to see how war at sea poetry related to sea themed poetry generally.

Poets that have been looked at so far include Editha Jenkinson, Rupert Brooke, Rudyard Kipling, Cicely Fox Smith, Henry Head, Francis Ledwidge, Edward Hilton-Young, Wilfrid Gibson, Jeffrey Day, Vera Brittain.

As from June 2016, the intention is to look at War at Sea poetry overall, particularly to include World War 2 at sea poetry.

Always on the lookout for poetry that fits this genres.
