Tinker Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Cali Fire Storm Running, running, running race, fire in flicking, licking pace. Roar of winds are whirling loud, crack and boom of heated shroud. Giant trees engulfed in flame, grass and houses all the same, human life a pawn in the game. Rushing storm in smoky cloud, choking, burning eyes and skin. Treasures lost, devoured within moments. Time and life a spin. Running, running, running race Fire in flicking, licking pace. ~~Judi Van GorderA Boutonniere Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to [email protected]

Dee2 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I could almost hear the roar of the inferno, Tink. Nicely done. Quote
Tinker Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 Thanks Tony and Dee. The form was appropriate for the subject. The aftermath a barren scarred void but at the time 70 mile an hour fire storm didn't leave any time to do anything but run. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to [email protected]
