Someone, Please Fix Me

My dang washer's worn again!
         It "sucks" to get old,
or in my case, "drips".

I just drip, drop, drip
         like a cold
with a runny nose.

I guard earth's
         precious elixir,
                   prepared
to share at a touch.

I love it when I'm free!
Streams of healing,
         life saving,
                   cleansing,
                           refreshing
water flowing forth.

This is what I live for!
                   Help!

Still smiling after enjoying this several times. When I first saw the title, I thought it was a call for help with some topic -- a double post or something -- but I was delighted to see it was poem.

Line 2 and the last two lines lead me to believe there's an underlying metaphor at work. An excellent personification of the leaky faucet.
