Tinker Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 No Beginning, No End Water pours from the heavens without beginning or end. Splashed down to the earth and bounced back up to greet the continuance of the fall. It streaks and shimmers in the air. Puddles form and small rivers splay across unfettered space. Water soaks my feet and hair, strikes my face and blurs my vision. Now is the rain. ~~ Judi Van Gorder Genre: Boketto Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
bob Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I like this Tinker: It's written in a manner one could almost "loop" the end to the beginning, and it would still read well, no matter where you started reading. YarnSpinner Quote
Tinker Posted April 7, 2018 Author Posted April 7, 2018 Thank you, It is supposed to be all that is around me in a moment of time. It rained nonstop for over 36 hours, and now it is just wet and grey and drizzly. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
tonyv Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Judi, the content fits the form well. I aggree with YarnSpinner that this reads (i.e. "flows") well. I would add that the poem has a touch of the concrete. It looks like rain. Tony Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic
