eclipse
Falconers eyes are like scales weighing the sun and moon-those of the falcon prison gold bars, wings -two arks. The moon weighs icebergs and deserts-it has two spaces to calculate life and death-it's breath and that of the sun intermingle. Tales and myths are preserved in a birds flight. The sun, moon and the falconer have their hands on gold prison bars.
tonyv
Enjoyed the reference(s) to the guilded cage, but I'm really excited how the moon's breath and that of the / sun intermingle. I picture both in the sky on a hot and humid day with morning haze about. A nice follow-up to "Eulogy for a falcon." Tinker
Hi Barry, At first read I thought I had read this before, Then realized it was an expansion on your EulogyFor a Falcon. They compliment one another and should be linked. More amazing imagery. The sun and the moon imprison us all so we must make the most of each moment. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
