JoelJosol
This blank paper is my report about the poem I meant to write. I laid off words when thoughts defaulted, sans attachment- very clinical, precise- to keep the piece afloat in this difficult time. But, I failed to live within my means and so the rest had to go. dr_con
Oh yes, some of my fav poems are poems on the 'inability to write poems' and this certainly did not disappoint! Well constructed, nice internal rhythm, and an inspiration for getting out of that 'can't write' Que;-) DC Quote thegateless.org
tonyv
Excess and austerity converge in this fantastic poem built upon an original use the current "crisis" as a metaphor for artist's block. JoelJosol
Thank you, DC and Tony. Yeah, I forced myself to use a metaphor that described my state of mind :-) I edited to include "so" in the last couplet. douglas
wonderful brevity, angst and emotion within these words. i love the stark structure of the stanzas, the bleak, yet charged words and the passion that is palpable. well written, thank you! Aleksandra
Joel, I love this poem. It is wonderful written. Blank paper works properly. This poem talks a lot and express exactly, the state of mind - as you said. Thank you for sharing. Bloodyday
Hi nice poem in short but said all what it should say. the construction and rhythm between the lines attract and has the ability to drive a mind to know more about what next!
