eclipse Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 In the eyes of a deity light reveals a burning ark in which an angel impersonates the moon inside the flame of a candle. The cosmic rose of light was passed on until it reached the waters of life on a small planet. The first rays of a new moon are served by the sun's midwife, night meets day. Four seasons take off their bandages, they dance passing each other a delicate vase in which figures are painted, invited eyes pierce through. Sphinx hitchhikes through wombs, connecting night and day, drinking Heaven from earth-for those waiting to be born. Running light of paradise and that of the earth intermingle for those leaving the womb. Quote
Tinker Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Barry, This is beautiful. The extraordinary imagery which I expect from you is arranged in such a way that I was carried away into the light. Awesome. The lyrical rhythm and flow of the piece was a welcome surprise. One image fluidly flow into the next painting word pictures that were like a slow moving crystal clear river. My favorite of all of your poems so far. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
tonyv Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 My two favorite, perfectly placed expressions: night meets/day and invited/eyes pierce through. Also loved life on a small/planet. Tony Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic
