douglas
it was an experience of purity as the indigo clouds burst in to tears raining down crystals of shimmering light that were warm and heavy and opulent and the heavens slammed together a powerful and persuasive percussion effortlessly removing all tension from within the atmosphere and i ran through the torrent becoming more and more a part of the water and above me flashed the most ancient of lights followed by the unchanging sound of creation full loud pure enveloping regal holy all i could do was give in to the moment there was nowhere to hide veiled and surrounded by the storm i was being baptised cleansed purified and my spirit intuitively connected with the electricity giving me the courage and passion to shout out magical invocations to conjure up secret spells and the presence of my angels and ancestors was immediately felt as they were given access to me here on earth all of us being freed simultaneously from our respective dimensions all at once i realised that this had been no coincidence i had been led out in to this ancient ceremony of flashing light and thundering sound i remember running out of the forest and across an exposed expanse of field thinking if i die now i will be happy i feel so much a part of everything so clean and held and complete and as i thought this the strangest thing happened a beautiful dog suddenly appeared alongside me we ran together we ran through the storm and when the rain stopped i was alone on a fragrant forest path with wet translucent skin and a beautiful future Quote To receive love, you have to give it... Aleksandra
Ah Douglas, you are not stopping with surprising me This poem is well written. It have different meaning and I feel this as a new born spirit. The visual effect is so different, and that gives some special tact of the poem. I love it. douglas
thank you beautiful alex for your words. it was a truly magnificent experience being caught in a thunder storm and very magical indeed. the dog was amazing - appearing out of nowhere and 'protecting' me while i ran through the forest! thank you for your concern! i am fine though as i am in new south wales away from the fire. there has been a great relief effort and the fund has raised millions for all the families affected by the fires - so that is very good! i will soon be a london boy though - my australian work visa was not approved, sadly - they are very fussy indeed - even though i have family here, qualifications - and am a poet!!!! they still declined my visa by only 10 points! anyway i have a british passport and lots of friends in london - so it will be an adventure! Bloodyday
tons of emotions and feelings out there to compel to travel my dreamland without wings and thanks douglas to give such an opportunity. the indigo clouds burst in to tears this indigo sky always makes me confused when it cries or sooth mankind by its rain. But i must say it purifies everything like the baptism! my spirit intuitively connected with the electricity giving me the courage and passion to shout out magical invocations to conjure up secret spells yap i am not so pious but i think when it rains, i will try to have a Salaat in Mosque, perhaps a prayer may sooth my heart again with another grateful feelings to god for such of his creative phenomena! and the heavens slammed together when heavens collide, what might happen? i didn't think about in cosmological concept, and besides if i think about the stars, i will i always have the vision of divine beauty. thanks for letting me fly in the dreamland without passport or visa! tonyv
Such light from you, Douglas! When I first read the part about the dog -- and as i thought this the strangest thing happened a beautiful dog suddenly appeared alongside me we ran together we ran through the storm -- I wondered what could be the inspiration for such a unique and lovely image. From your reply to Alek, I could see that the source was a real life experience! A storm is usually perceived as something negative. Your account of this storm is uplifting and bright.
