"One Paper Clip at a Time"*

Inevitable chaos
of living each moment
is accompanied by stuff.
Paper, dishes, books, shoes,
emotional triggers,
all clutter
until acknowledged
and either dumped
or placed in order.

Buried deep below
any or all
suffocates and freezes
the body and the mind.

Climb up and out
by placing one piece,
then another
in proper domicile,
one paper clip at a time.

hi Judi

Yes, I recognise the scene - the disorder of living each moment. And stuff does trigger emotional connects. We've de-cluttered - given to charities, done 'car boot sales', ...but the attic still hoards😀 I used to 'mangle' an occasional desk paper clip as a casual therapy - there were hundreds left!
