douglas
the water the water cool upon my face like your cold hands caressing me leaving a lingering trace your frozen love is so pure and clean cold passion that preserves my heart a freeze bringing together shimmering pieces once pulled far apart from mist to water from water to ice the frosts of your adoration descend from the skies leaving me as soft and sensuous as driven snow this is the coldness that i love to know. dr_con
A chilling Poem Actually, its not- It is warm, well composed and reflects the abstract beauty of Virgin Snow in the deep forest, immediate sensual, and clear... Well done Douglas;-) Dr. C Quote thegateless.org Come on over and check out my poetry substack y'all;-) Or if your bored, head to the Zazzle store: https://www.zazzle.com/store/gateless. tonyv
This is my favorite type of poem Douglas: a highly lyrical love poem. You make effective use of repetition, and adoration is used swimmingly. Not too long, not too short -- a contemporary sonnet with a killer concluding couplet -- the poem is just right in every way. Perfect title, too! Aleksandra
Dear Doug. I loved this poem. This is perfect expression: leaving me as soft and sensuous as driven snow And then the ending part is very well: this is the coldness that i love to know. douglas wrote: (i am entering a romantic phase again, need a break from the existential, so you'll be reading more of this type of poem from me!) I am happy to hear this Douglas :) . What happened?
