tonyv Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Salem #tonyv from 4/3-4/5 2020 All the rabble had its eyes on me when all I did was smoke a cigarette in Salem, Massachusetts. At her hanging, in the public square, I had a buzz; 'twas from the rum. She was a daffodil last night. I loved that hussy all night long. __________________Salem Witch Trials 2 Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic
Tinker Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I love poems that step back into history. You are a master of meter... A ruby I would think. ~~Judi Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to [email protected]

tonyv Posted April 5, 2020 Author Posted April 5, 2020 Thank you both. I know these poems I'm posting as part of this poem/day thing are bit half-assed, but that's all I can manage at this rate. Gonna try to keep up. Tony 😃 1 Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic
Tinker Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Tony, The daily thing pushes you and the poems I write are sometimes just getting something on the page. But there is value in each piece, maybe the seeds of a poem that will take more time to be polished and/or expanded or one to just be abandoned. In sales for me the rule of thumb is 3 nos to 1 yes. So far you have produced only yeses. But it is a good discipline. I'd be proud to say I wrote any one of your offerings. I wouldn't consider this one half assed at all. It's really good. ~~Judi 1 Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to [email protected]
