dr_con Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 The Complaint 4/3/2021 Con/Jur/d -- Happiness is always reflected in the taillights, it seems, she said -- I never had a drivers license, I said It’s a family heirloom, neither did my mother or brother. -- Ah yes, raised by serious complaint, she said many were made by it. -- When I was too young she often said, ‘I don’t love your father’ or ‘We grew up with more laughter.’ -- No wonder you find it all funny, giggling mid-argument. -- It’s seriously-funny living a life of endless complaint. Tinker Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Ouch "a life of endless complaint." I can't imagine this sadness. It is true there are people that are half full and people that have half empty attitudes but a life of complaint is taking half empty to the extreme. That hurts and I hear it in your poem. I am grateful to have lived a life half full and sometimes overflowing for most of my years. Admittedly it is only a quarter full right now but just getting on this board and forcing myself to write again, the level is rising quickly. I even wrote and posted a silly poem yesterday April 3 and include it below to chase the "poem a day" atmosphere you created here. Now to write something today. Thanks again.Play Day Timeto play,it's a Saturday, daytime designed as sublime.Close the office doorswork is donemake fun . . .Roar! ~~jvg Taking a short break and playing with a new form.Quadrette Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
