Day 8 - only 17 days behind now No Better Day

No Better Day

On a day
like today with the rain
draining from the sky
and the chill
from the wind whipping outside,
why not write?
No better excuse to sit
in the warmth
of my den,
the cat and husband snooze
and I can either 
fold laundry
or 
let my fingers tap out a poem.
Guess what I chose.
