eclipse
Postcard London is Returned to senders From heaven, ordinary People. Hospitals hold Hands in prayer. Vagrant rainbows return Home. Figures in paintings smell summer rain falling from statues in graveyards, Erase the signatures of Artists. The night is Unlocked from its dream About the sky drowning in Reflections coughed Out by mirrors. Winter sighs, Its turbulent dream Calmed by London's Caress. Spring's Bonsai canvas sails Through, fraud proof Its signature indestructible.
callme AHL
Very well written poem, pampered with poetic lines, metaphor, and imagery. Work shows deft usage of the poet's tools. Not fond of L7 poking out--perhaps other readers will think it effective. London's always came through before; let's hope there'll always be one, as I do for my own and other's beloved towns/countries. best, AHL
David W. Parsley
Hi Barry, I agree with just about everything AHL says. Nice poem disturbed by "inventive" form structure. Your French Symbolist strain signs unabated! Thanks, - David
