eclipse Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Winters dreaming eyes are Like driftwood floating On rivers in underground Caves, he dreams about snow globe balanced on a vanishing wand and wakes to The residue of autumn Floods. Wolves view snow Lit boughs. Winter watches Mountain dance as snow leopard sleeps. The cat's Frame is gaunt, her eyes reflected on water are like Postcards that are only read by ghosts. Quote
JoelJosol Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 What got the poem together for me are the words "eyes" and its associated action words "view", "watches" and "read". It is still fantastical as a theme, in a make-believe world of winter. Winter is echoed several times in the word "snow".
