eclipse
What colour is poverty, Are Christ's eyes The colour of love, Rage as he orders Cathedrals to breathe out. Do the wings of angels Turn grey with age in Landscape of homeless Man who dreams of Route in and out of heaven, He could sleep surrounded By history's fires, his dreams A repository for the requiems And carols of heavenly Choirs, birds will hear notes Unheard by human ears, Full incarnation will Be attracted by celestial Canticles. tonyv
Barry, I think "Christmas poem" is one of the most moving holiday poems I've ever read. There's too much good to list, but I think the part that hits closest to home for me is He could sleep surrounded By history's fires ... because it doesn't sound like such a bad way to be -- almost as if one should aspire to it.
