Ghost of history sits
With a thread below needle's eye
Waiting for those
Whose dreams are
Lit by the light between
Worlds as they are led
By the whispering of
Their stories to the
Other side of the eye
And one of them
Will have a needle to
Pass through that of
Of the ghosts to
Preview two cultures.
The Musqueam, Vancouver.
Great Fraser Midden,
Burial ground, soil sings
Acapella to the sky.
Winds are like hounds
Hunting for an essence,
Striking haunting presence
Of the Musqueam from
Their final dissolving dreams.

Another eye-opening poem to showcase an indigenous culture that might otherwise go forgotten/unnoticed. I think what moved me the most was how the burial site's soil sings/Acapella to the sky. Nicely done, Barry!
