Tinker Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 I'll Try Again Bedtime once more, the fight begins. It's prime to get a good night's sleep, instead, my mind's alert on pins and needles, with thoughts in a heap. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I weep. I think, I read, or watch TV, trying to distract, seeking the deep REM to set my weary brain free. ~~Judi Van Gorder Verse Form The Hutain 2 Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
dr_con Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Well done Judy. I really like the form, fascinating history. And the situation, the battle of trying to fall asleep is too familiar, although that isn't my problem these days having been replaced with an inability -- sometimes to stay asleep;-) 1 1 Quote thegateless.org
tonyv Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Judi, I agree with Juris. This poem and form are a perfect fit for each other. Some say getting a job might help, but I think work is overrated. It's best to just load up on carbs. (The magnesium found in potatoes should do the trick.) Tony 😂 Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic

I have had a job since I was 19 years old and I finally hung it up at the age of 80. I earned retirement. 😎 And potatoes, I have gained almost 25 lbs since the pandemic lock down, I am now trying to take it off. 😢 No Tony you don't have all of the answers. 🤣 ~~Judi 1 Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
