Remember when he taught us

I Am, and I said,

“Like a portal, we’re finally here”

Better prepped

this time, when Saturn comes

around looking for a fight, dressed

in hospital gowns designed to

specimize us, with his eyes

tough as loam

watching, we become paranoid,

crows caw ill-intent,

of course, Saturn and The Crow,

despite the rustle

of leaves after our exit, are

going about their business, no

thing, personal or banal, nothing

but a reminder every moment of

every day

despite the denial, the seamless

production, we’re making it up,

acting with assured permanence

we forget

we are not

impervious,

we are

porous,

a portal,

a wind blowing

from entrance

to end.
