A harbinger of happiness
of which some might call sappiness,
this delightful, feathered creature
born to be a joyful preacher,
will flap his wings of brilliant blue
exposing chest of orange hue
and sing his hopeful melody
bringing glee to you and to me.

I don't think I've ever seen a bluebird around these parts, Judi, but this one seems like a welcome feathered friend. Nice one!

Thanks Tony,  It is kind of like a jingle and a little silly but that is sometimes how happiness manifests itself.   Not all poems can be high poetry and the occasional ditty can feel good to write.
