With her frazzled hair-

Like she just woke up.

 

Behold her belly;

See how it balloons,

Causing a huge bulge

To form

On her dress.

 

Behold that shiny quarter;

See how it flies

Through the air,

Propelled by her thumb

On her left hand.

 

Behold her right hand:

See how it holds

That coat hanger

At the ready,

Awaiting the final decision.

 

Behold this painting,

Heed its message:

Which speaks;

It’s the woman’s body,

Yet the choice

Of whether the baby

Gets to take

Its first breath

Or not

Ultimately belongs

To that shiny quarter!
