Whether you’re flipping a coin,

Or playing a video game,

Or watching a sports event,

Or fighting a war overseas,

Or attending a legal hearing,

Or sitting in a meeting,

Or rolling a few dice,

Or attending a job interview,

Or someone is drawing lots,

Or voting in an election,

It has all been decided.

 

It’s all been decided,

Not by people voting

Nor by random chance,

But by something greater,

A far, greater power-

Far greater than anything

We know on earth.

 

Way before time began;

Way before that coin was flipped,

Or that pair of dice was rolled,

Or those sports were watched,

Or that war commenced,

Or that council meeting convened,

Or that election was called,

Or that job interview was granted,

Or that game was played,

Or those lots were drawn,

 

It’s all been predetermined-

By the most high,

Sitting on his throne,

High above us all;

And it’s all based

On both his foreknowledge

And his good pleasure!

Hi Assaf,   I thought the repetition in this piece was effective.  I can't agee with your conclusion but that is what makes reading interesting.  I am more in the mind-frame of  "He put everything in place at creation, made us in His image then turned it over to us, the result of which is still an unknown."
