"forgive us our trespasses"

I'm quick to say "I'm sorry"
even when I believe
         I've done nothing wrong.
I know I have no filter
and tend to cannonball
into the pool. So saying "I'm sorry"
doesn't hurt me a bit.
                   It's probably warranted.

I've long since made amends
for my deliberate transgressions
of which I am very aware
and continue to carry their burden.

My intentions are never
                             to hurt another,
and if I have done so here,
                                        I'm sorry.
                             ~~~Judi Van Gorder
Well Judi, at least this doesn’t appear to be crafted by an attorney. It’s closer to a genuine apology, not the typical statement from a politician or a celebrity. You know the ones. The ones that are never “I’m sorry I hurt you,” and instead are always “I’m sorry this happened to you.” 🙄 The ones that are never “I’ve sinned against God and my fellow man” and are always “I made some bad choices.”
What Tony said;-) Of course, there is also the idea you should never apologize, being both God and your Fellow man;-)
