Today I’m going to a luncheon at a prestigious country club to honor a woman for her volunteer service in our community over many years. I’m privileged to call her my friend. She was in attendance when I received this same honor over a decade ago.

Funny we share first names, we both married Bobs, and we both chose the same name for our only sons who are two years apart. The boys knew each other from school long before Judy and I met while working a community fundraiser. We also share the same passion to help others in any way we can.
