dr_con Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 A rough and ready kind of poetry4/29/2023, Con/Jur/d We must beg forgiveness for the fits and starts, the forward and back, the self at the center a societal construction, a cultural concrete, to fill in the Gap, so we have more to say to each other than, “Wow” Instructed not to apologize and defend a chimera from the past, we see how it is how it covers everything, a naked armor like Basho’s cuckoo that destroys Kyoto with teeth, Godzilla would envy Or those moments between waking and sleeping where we become nameless placeless, empty without Beginning or end. This poem speaks to me and the marathon I've been on to complete my commitment to write a poem a day. (Note I said "poem" a day, not poetry.} It has been a challenge and I've depended on prompts but it was good practice in writing and inspirational for me feeling the well had gone dry. I feel remiss in my commentary to others, yours especially because we were kind of partners in the voyage. But time restraints and new prompts had my head spinning. 8 minutes ago, dr_con said: how it covers everything, a naked armor like Basho’s cuckoo that destroys Kyoto with teeth, Godzilla would envy This is great imagery, I am familiar with Basho's cuckoo and for you to give it teeth to rival Godzilla, WOW 🤣 Forgive me but I still have a poem to write for this final day/ I really enjoyed reading this.
