The Financial Cycle

Assaf1981

Almost all men believe

That if they win the lottery,

Then their financial problems

Will be eliminated,

Yet after two decades

Of careful observation,

Financial woes do indeed

Vanish if men win the lottery,

But if they spend the money,

Their financial woes will reappear!

This senseless cycle,

So says the ancient preacher,

Is but a vanity

Amongst vanities!

Oh it's worse than that.  By the enormous size of winnings in many lotteries, they are designed to ensure winners fail. Many have commented "why don't they give smaller prizes and more of them?" Because a smaller prize ensures the first thing for most to kick in, is practicality. Pay off bills, replace what needs replacing, help the kids or grandkids along. A few years later, the money is spent well providing some relief to all concerned.  The big prizes bring out the predators, even distant family members, cause an express frenzy of consumption not beneficial or warranted, nor hooked generally to any knowledge of economic management; lacking awareness of how to navigate what was set in motion. And so yes, most who win big lotteries end up the same or worse than before.

The bible doesn't say money is the root of all evil. It says love of money is the root of all evil. Look at the system, Assaf, to ferret out the evil within.
