Encouraging a Sick Friend

When the deer gather in spring
anxious to find fresh green
grasslands will appear
remembering last year
lost of all its dreary news.  Looking forward
to cool dripping days
where the forest trembles in rain
pouring to savour the first turn
away from winter’s pain
            and its sleeping charms.

Oh Terry,  You certainly are in touch with nature's elements.  I really like the way you break L2 at green.   It is like you are creating 2 different images in 1 image.  Very cool.

Also love "the forest trembles in rain".   Sometimes that is so true.  Spring is here and yet we still are having storms, just 2 days ago, the redwoods weren't just trembling, they were swaying and moaning.  A little scary actually.  But today the sun was shining, the trees were silent, still, and shimmering with left over rain drops.

Nice writing.  ~~Judi

Yes, I can write very nice parlour poetry.

But oh! The beauty of your lines:

But today

the sun was shining

the trees were silent

shimmering

with left over raindrops.

Haha, Don't devalue your talent. There is a skilled poet behind the "parlour".

I too am connected to earth's elements.  Nature being one of my favorite topics to read and share through words.
