rumisong
this brain this agree/disagree mind we have, its such a kick, isnt it? I just wrote in a thread something that appeared in that moment, "everything loved is poetry" I saw this, right in that moment, the truth of this... and then I went to the thread here about books on poetry, and some "opinion" about poetry and study and technical stuff came rising up in me... it put me in mind about the meter thread, also a "technical" approach to poem- I saw my mind want to reject so where did that other thought go? the one that just saw "anything loved is poetry?" - how fleeting was that meant to be?! there should be no walls to what is loved- and I build a wall as soon as I grab on to the assumption that what I love is or should be universally loved, and too, what happens when such an assumption is leveled by another... dropping all assumptions about other- that is love- that is poetry... Today, like every day we wake up empty and scared. Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading Take down the dulcimer Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground. Jalal ad-Din Rumi
