Tinker
Explore the Craft of Writing PoetryJapanese VerseHaiga is a traditional Japanese sketch or drawing that mirrors the spirit of the haiku. The practice is not so much to recreate the entire image but to provide a quick response to the inspiration of the image. Often the haiga and haiku are integrated to provide a visual composition. The Chinese are more likely to provide a watercolor landscape to accompany the small poem. The painting often is a monochrome, art in different shades of the same color. I share this beautiful example of haiga that I found on the internet, posted by frogwhiteku1. ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
