Tinker
Explore the Craft of WritingArabic Verse The Shairi in Urdu is a "poetic art form", a technique in which the poet repeats a line once or even twice in succession or even as two halves of a line.. This repetition is apparently common when writing of love gone wrong. I stumbled across this technique when researching the Shairi of Swahili origin. The two do not appear to be connected, nor are they to be confused with the better known in Western literature, the Georgian Shairi.
