Thanks Tony,  The Eggtimer isn't my favorite poetic frame, it isn't even in my top 1000 but it was the assigned form this morning at the "Ultimate Forms Challenge" at WDC.  I thought it appropriate to at least acknowledge the holiday that allowed me to close my office today with it.  Consequently, We Remember.    Sometimes the form choices are interesting and fun to try and it gets me writing example poems for the Reference Section.  But sometimes they are just dumb, like the Eggtimer.

I don't see how this verse form in any way contributes to the message; that is, how the message of the first five lines benefits from being rewound in time in the second five lines.

AB, Agreed.  Just chasing a form but it prompted me to write something.  Which is better for me than writing nothing.

What would be interesting is to try to find a topic that conveyed a different meaning when read backwards than it did forwards! I'm guessing that might be the premise behind this form.
